HourCast™ and DayCast™ are tools for hour-ahead and day-ahead solar and wind forecasts, available for any site or a portfolio of solar farms or wind farms, that can be quickly deployed anywhere on the planet. Forecasts on a country-scale are also available. Reliability and robustness are ensured thanks to the use of images from at least five satellites permitting to cover the entire Earth’s surface, and thanks to the use of multiple models from weather agencies around the world.

HourCast™ & DayCast™ - Hour-ahead and day-ahead solar and wind forecasting services

HourCast™ uses geostationary meteorological satellite images as main inputs to anticipate solar irradiance and solar power for the next hours. It is based on the most efficient ways to convert satellite images into solar irradiance maps.

DayCast™ is based on an approach that uses a blend of weather models to accurately anticipate solar irradiance and solar power for the next days, or wind conditions and wind power for the next hours and days. Several global and regional numerical weather prediction (NWP) models are blended using statistical and machine learning methods to provide the best possible forecast for the given site-specific meteorological conditions.

HourCast™ and DayCast™ are tools for hour-ahead and day-ahead forecasts, available for any site or a portfolio of solar farms or wind farms. They are hardware-free and can be quickly deployed anywhere on the planet. Forecasts on a country-scale are also available.
