Over three 2 hours sessions, we describe the structure of the atmosphere and how this relates to various textbook weather patterns and then tie this into the range of forecasting models and monitoring tools which we have available.
- Importantly, we describe how short, medium and long range forecast tools translates to the energy markets.
- You will also learn how to be confident with decision making using ensembles and cluster products.
- The final session describes some of the more useful teleconnections and, provides insight about how keeping an eye on some of the bigger picture global weather patterns like the NAO, AO, and Polar Vortex can also give you the edge.
